SUPPORT FOR THE KENT FOOD BANK

  • The Kent Community Fund is a partner of the town-operated Kent Food Bank through its membership in the Connecticut Foodshare, which is available to nonprofits such as KCF. Each month the Connecticut Food Bank/Foodshare makes one or two deliveries of low-cost and free food to the Kent Food Bank, located in the lower level of the Kent Community House. In 2023, more than 7 tons of food came from the Connecticut Food Bank. Through its contributions, KCF has been able to ensure a steady supply of canned goods, frozen meats and chicken and fresh produce.

  • Contributions to the Kent Food Bank are welcome throughout the year. Especially needed are non-perishable foods, personal care items, paper goods (tissues, paper towels, toilet paper), coffee, laundry detergent, etc.

  • Non-perishable Food Donations can also be brought to the designated bin the the foyer of Town Hall during regular working hours.  Additional donation locations are located at Davis IGA and at other businesses and churches in Kent.
